Buenos dìas, my friends Cup'O'Joe in hand with the #StokeLevel @11.9 as I read the NWS forecast discussions and review the models. NorCal is about to get a #Refresh of #MaNatural with Bear Valley, Dodge Ridge, and China Peak all in the 10" to 12" zones on the low end, with some forecasters lining up a 21" to 32" clean sweep! Now, I am a little more on the conservative end of the spectrum, and this is all about #MotherNature and the track she will take across Norcal. As of 0400, the models below show a solid hit to the region, with a southerly tact that was not in the cards three days ago. Hence, it can change, and as fickled a #MotherNature is, she just might, my friends... However, let's take a look at the NAM 3km models to get an idea of impacts and timing, as you want to get ready for a weekend of POWHunt'n ahead!
As you can see from the 3km models above and below here, we are in the #Zone and will see measurable precip at all three(3) Norcal resorts, and if these models hold, there is a chance < 30% as this model stands for Mtn High to see its first measurable snowfall in December.
Now let's look at the NAM 3km 2m Temperature models
Now let's wrap up the morning report - Here is the NAM-3km Total snowfall model for Norcal and Socal - This is a 10:1 Ratio (inches) through December 13, 2024, @1600 PST.
Let's be clear: this is a model and not the radar, so stay tuned and thirsty, my friends; if I see any crazy swings or adjustments, I will repost tonight before 2200. If not, I'll see you all out here tomorrow morning, bright and early, get'n fired up for a POWHunt'n session at any one of our Cali Pass resorts... Stay'nThirsty for POW Coop
